Our office in Baghdad was opened in July 2004, and immediately the company carried on the business of travel agent, tourist agent, and general sales agent for international airlines, transporters, hotel representatives and organizers of tourist excursion.
Laru Travel & Tourism is currently the only professional Travel Company in Iraq with stock tickets from major international airlines such as Air France, Royal Dutch airlines, Norwest, Delta Airlines, & Royal Jordanian. This gives it immediate access to full booking service whether inbound or outbound from Iraq via major hub cites such as Amman, Dubai, Beirut, Vienna & Istanbul.
The company is specialized in corporate travel and provides comprehensive and independent travel advice allowing the clients to gain access to the widest range of travel services and products and the most up-to-date information.
Laru Travel & Tourism also presents full travel solutions starting from reservations of flight details and itineraries including full logistical support such as transfer to and from the airport in Amman, Dubai, and Erbil. The company has a combined total experience and expertise in the travel industry of more than 40 years with a team brought in from the region to reflect a high level of competency and experience. In 2005 Erbil Branch was opened as the second branch for LARU Travel in Iraq, just as the airport had started to operate as international airport and various airlines started to operate to Erbil to provide several alternatives for travelers for various destinations e.g. Dubai, Frankfurt, Amman, Vienna, Beirut, Damascus Istanbul, Athens, Stockholm and many other new destinations to come.
Also in 2005 we found the need to have a logistic office in Amman to back up the needs of our Iraq offices so Xpress Travel Services was established.
