Coca-Cola has returned to Iraq after an absence of nearly four decades. In 1968 the Arab League declared a boycott, leaving Pepsi to dominate the Middle East for soft drinks. Even though this boycott ended in 1991, sanctions and war kept Coca Cola out of Iraq.

Coca-Cola is one of the largest, most successful and most widely recognized corporations in existence. Coca Cola is a dominating force in the beverage industry and sets a very high standard of competition. Research shows that its trademark is recognized by over 94% of the world’s population and is considered to be the most selling softdrinks and thirst quencher in the world.

Ster Group is proud to announce to be an active partner of Coca Cola in Iraq. In May 2008 the first Coca Cola plant in Iraq was opened in Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan. Coca Cola, being the partner of Ster Group, is also the official distributor of Kani Water within Iraq.
